You forget who was running for the Liberals in 2006 and 11.

Easy to not support those.

I'm interested to see whom the four dailies will support this time.

I'd be shocked if it was anyone but Harper. The other two leaders would be far worse for Canada.

But kind of does in the whole left-wing media myth.

I don't think stating he will win is really an endorsement, more just accepting reality.

An endorsement isn't a prediction; it shows the backing of the newspaper's editorial board. It's a political position taken by the paper.

Maybe one of them will back another horse this time. Harper has a horrible economic record and his administration is mired in corruption and scandal.

Public_Domain Public_Domain:
Thanos Thanos:
The media fills an important role. The public has the right to know if they're doing their job objectively, as the media claims, or if they're operating as agents for the parties. This would be doubly important for CBC reporters because as a national taxpayer-funded media operation that allegedly operates on the behalf of the entire country we all should have a right to know what connections to the parties the reporters have and if they're reporting in a way to benefit one party over the others.
Oh, I agree. Sadly ideas like this are completely unenforceable. Something something our democracy allows people to only declare their voting intentions/affiliations when they choose to.

Lest we end up with some sort of "House of UnCanadian Activities Committee" or something.

Anyway all we can really do is point on which individuals/organization seem to obviously act as vestiges of this or that party/lean, which is exactly what we all already do. CBC has a solid standing with the Liberals, but are huffing a bag of NDP shit for a sweet temporary high. The rest almost always exactly as you stated, Conservative by virtue of being private and corporate, some worse than others, while other congregating rags like the Huffington Post take pretty much anyone, but that usually just attracts the lefties.

Well said, other than the HuffPo comment. That rag is only fit to line bird cages.

It wasn't a compliment for them, I just have very little opinion of them. Don't know terribly much on them, other than they attract left-wing conspiracy theorists and idiots like vinegar.

Anyway, I honestly consider the finest news source to be the most hard-hitting and accurate source of news.

I knew you weren't complimenting them. I just felt like adding my opinion of them. 8)

Just tell us in what fucking way the question the reporter asked was biased?
Perhaps you should watch CTV or Global instead of whining about CBC bias all the time, they're private networks and ask the same questions.
When a reporter gets abused like that or a politician dodges ro won't anser a question it's NEWS, so it gets reported. It doesn't have anything to do with bias.

Watching Craig Oliver try his best not to smirk when he's commenting on Harper's misfortunes.

The Guardian newspaper:

The National Post newspaper, which usually supports the Conservatives, said in an editorial on Tuesday that Wright’s actions showed “the extent of the institutional rot” that had spread through the government.

Turns out this is apparently the same guy that yelled at Olivia Chow to "Go back to China" a couple years back.
