About two month agos on Facebook I argued with a 28 year old man who was dating a 16 year old girl, one of my sister's friends. People were coming down on her pretty hard, so I posted my opinion in condemnation of this guy, basically laying out why it's socially unacceptable and even the most rationally minded would always voice their disgust. Half your age plus seven, etc etc. I gave him a chance, spoke technically, and wasn't personal. Until he started explaining himself.

He came back at me saying "it wasn't that long ago that large age gaps were normal". I said it wasn't that long ago since women didn't even really get to choose who they were in relationships with, and that it's hard to seriously consider times when old men preyed on preteens to be some sort of ideal world. He came at me with a very longwinded and disturbing rant about "women's place in society" and explained to me that the "natural inferiority" of women meant they shouldn't be "bothered with the responsibilities" of voting, working, anything besides child care and service to their man. Women need to be dominated and ordered, that's when they're "happiest" and that's when society is the most "stable". The kind of guy who believes a wife can't be raped by her husband.

It floored me and I abandoned the discussion.

On the plus side they were split up by the end of the week.

I'm having a really hard time bothering with people online lately. It's just so toxic. So upsetting.

From religious hardcores looking at women as nothing but chattels for breeding to the Doosh types who look at them as things to be used and tossed aside, the attitude of too many males on this planet towards females is nothing less than disgusting. Yeah, there's a lot of bad bitches out there but I'm pretty sure that they're overwhelmingly outnumbered by the awful types of males in this world.

Alls I said was Roosh isn't a social conservative. He's not. Or at least he wasn't back when he was being a bad boy. Actually he did his hypocrisy in reverse. He sowed his oats then decided "Hey maybe that sexual conservatism of my Muslim parents wasn't so bad. Maybe I should give that a whirl."

From what I read of Jesus I'm pretty certain that he'd be absolutely sickened by the type of ideological & dogmatic conservative cretins who call themselves Christians these days.
