You can't just call ISIS a fascist movement, for the same reason we don't just talk about Nazism as a fascist movement.
Fascism is the idea that a chosen group (religion, race, etc.) can and must build a new, united society founded on the subjection of the other. But we don't just talk about that when we discuss Nazism. We do and must talk about their Aryan supremacy, their anti-semitism, their belief that the physically and sexually deviant must be eliminated.

Sounds a lot like NAZIs, except instead of blonde and blue eyes being the desired traits, it's brown with more shit brown.

BartSimpson BartSimpson: $1: What the Nazi era can teach us about deradicalizing extremists 1. First, bomb them into the stone age. 2. Then require their unconditional surrender and kill every last one of the bastards who won't agree to that. 3. Execute their leaders to make sure the movement doesn't arise again. 4. Ban their propaganda materials and imprison anyone who tries to proselytize from them. 5. But first find the balls and the resolve to do all of the above. As taken from the famous, time-honoured historical text, "The only 5 things you need to know to win any war: why studying and learning and reading and stuff is overrated". Written by those famous authors, Everyone Who Has Ever Lost a War.

Want to get back on topic or do you want to continue to debate semantics and general douchbaggery? You're the one who drove it to this point and now you want to get back on topic? Internet argument! And here come the mods to set things aright.

I gotta agree there, like the article says it's built on a pro-Baathist philosophy. They've killed far more Muslims than the dirty Jew or Corrupt Westerners that they claim motivates them. I think they kill, just because they can. That Jordanian pilot's death was specifically to fire up anyone looking to unleash their cruelty on unsuspecting masses.

Well now you are getting to the point. He doesn't want to 'defeat' them. He loves the diversity.

If you think your 5 points accurately and completely sum the totality of World War 2 and post-war winning the peace then you are as ignorant of that conflict as you are of the current conflict (shocker!!) and again you didn't read the OP, where it talks about the "De-nazification" program. Is it a wonder that you and your ilk made a clusterfuck of your idiotic and poorly conceived Iraq invasion?

Is it a wonder that you and your ilk made a clusterfuck of your idiotic and poorly conceived Iraq invasion? They weren't the only things that won WWII for the allies. But without those tactics, the allies would have lost WWII. War is cruel, inhumane, and evil regardless of whether your cause for war is just or not. It's the nature of the beast; but, to not tame the beast and use it for your just cause will inevitably lead to your destruction by the very same beast in the hands of those who's cause is unjust.
