They weren't the only things that won WWII for the allies. But without those tactics, the allies would have lost WWII.

War is cruel, inhumane, and evil regardless of whether your cause for war is just or not. It's the nature of the beast; but, to not tame the beast and use it for your just cause will inevitably lead to your destruction by the very same beast in the hands of those who's cause is unjust.
