I use Amazon for the most part now, whether it's for ordering ebooks, text books or books for our youngest. I have the book bub app which finds me plenty of free books, or drastically reduced prices. Our youngest has plenty of DK books, his own e-reader and uses the library religiously.

While I'm far from a bestselling author, the vast majority of my sales - 99.99999% - come from ebooks.

While I prefer paperbacks, the market is gradually shifting to ebooks as the dominant category.

I prefer a real book as well, but you can't beat the convienience of an e-book. I can carry dozens of them around with me, and if I finish a book in a series I can get the next without leaving my chair. The days of rushing t the store before it closes are gone.

Yeah. What's with the Zombie bit, anyway?

Do people feel that they have no control?

Do they think that everyone else is a mindless automaton?

... to be blown away with a shot gun?

Books have become obsolete.

Books are not obsolete. Book stores are.

My signed, first-folio edition of "The Hunt for Red October" is worth around $2500.

The Kindle version is worth about fifty cents.

Books will always be in demand. We just don't need to have bookstores anymore in order to buy them.

Book stores have become a hangout for people to socialize and grab a Starbucks like on Friends.
