Yeah, it'd be fairly lame to see JT do some sort of fucked-up pilgrimage to all the shitty little dictatorships that his dad and all those pathetic old 1970's vintage lefties were so favourable towards. Worst stations of the cross holiday trip ever.

2Cdo 2Cdo: Thanos Thanos: Be damn funny if the Yanks refused to let JT into the US because of all his admitted dope smoking. I doubt if he would want to visit them or Britain. Probably make Cuba his first state visit, or maybe China. Stop foretelling, it hurts. Lil Justine is going to be a disaster, inside and out.

andyt andyt: $1: Conservative Party of Canada President John Walsh said Adams requested to seek a Conservative nomination in a new seat a couple of weeks ago, but he informed her in writing on Jan. 29 that she would not be allowed to run due to her “misconduct” during the Oakville North-Burlington nomination race. Read more: http://www.ctvnews.ca/politics/conserva ... z3RGeiLA6NI don't think it's about past elections, but that she had no place to run in the next one. Sure she did. She two options when her constituency was split in two. She could not get nominated in either. Says a lot about her that her own party members would not re-elect her to either of her own areas. This is only a win for the Liberals for the 24 hours this will run in the media. After that we will all forget about her and she'll never get elected again. Liberals know that and are just screwing her up the ass after the PCs screwed her from the other side. Says she was helping the party since she was 14. You'd think she'd know how to play the game better.

andyt andyt: I have no problem with that. It's being a Liberal the way OTI is a conservative that I think is too much. Ie my party right or wrong. And they're never wrong. That is my biggest barrier to getting involved in politics beyond talking about it. I just can't see myself being a part of any of the parties. Although, I am considering taking a closer look at the Alberta party next provincial election.

I just took a political test for 2015. (will post if interested, if I can find it again). First time thru I was in order: green, liberal, cpc, ndp. Second time, with just slightly different emphasis on the answer (important vs very important, say) I got Ndp, liberal, cpc, green. This is based on stated positions of the parties. Goes to show how close they really are.

Explain how she had the option to run for the CPC when she could not get nominated? She had the same option as any sitting CPC MP. They all have to run for re-nomination every number of years. Hers is not the first sitting MPs riding to change boundaries. They just choose to run for nomination in the new split riding with the most chance of being re-elected in. The vast majority get re-nominated. Those that don't, don't because they suck. If your own past supporters won't vote for you, you suck.

Maybe read my post again and think about if I really meant what you think I did. Separate sentence one from the next two. But actually, even with your misreading, how do you get ideological purity from that. It's the very opposite - ideological heterogeneity. Heinz 57 party.

2Cdo 2Cdo: I just can't understand anyone who thinks Trudeau would be good for Canada. The man has the depth of a soap dish and the IQ of a small rock. His foray into foreign affairs would be laughable with none of our allies taking him seriously. Yes it is ironic that eggheads Ignteieff, Rae and Dion were all summarily dispacthed by the Tory attack machine and here's gormless Trudeau still standing.
