DrCaleb DrCaleb:

So, you are saying you can't comprehend the things you wrote? You asked me to quote something I didn't say, then say it's proof that I really meant the opposite? [huh]

Don't trip on yourself while back-peddling.

Just wear your stripes on your sleeve. I know it's not popular right now to be lefty with the slim-pickings on the other side of the House but it's better than running around pretending to impartial.

LOL, what fun would it be if I were impartial? I try to look at all sides of an argument, but I have my own opinions.

But one thing I never do, is imply someone said something when they didn't! That's what we have you for.

I noted you forgot to mention to actions of a certain group of people. You admitted to such.

If you keep your story consistent and you wear your bias on your sleeve, you can save a lot of time dithering.

For what it's worth I don't think their should be any tax exemption for charities. A charity that spends all it's money wouldn't be paying any taxes on it's donation income. So the only question is why do we let people donate their money and get a reduction in the taxes they pay to the collective welfare of the nation?

More so with political activities of any sort.

If citizens or corporations want to make political statements with their money, they can pay taxes on it. Just like everyone else that has a hobby. Charitable exemptions make as much sense to me as HO model train tax exemptions or RC plane deductions.

DrCaleb DrCaleb:

Because the Government are the ones being asked the questions, they don't get to ask them during 'Question Period', only the Opposition parties do. That's kind of the definition. I did not say only the Government was taunting. And, you do know the difference between the CPC and the Government, right?

Throughout the remainder of Question Period, Members of officially recognized parties ask questions in rotation based upon party representation in the House. Members of the governing party may occasionally pose a question to one of their own.

Agreed. And no exemption for religious orgs either. Some of those do better business than most businesses.

Members often don't really answer questions either (both at the provincial and federal levels), but merely respond with talking points that appear to answer the question but often refer back to the talking points/messaging the government of the day has.

As for taunting and nasty comments, they typically come from both sides of the House.

I don't watch much QP in Parliament, but the QP at the Legislature here is pretty nasty and opposition members typically tack on snarky comments to their questions if they don't get an 'answer' from the government.

Those are often lobbed questions that often reinforce the government's talking points/messaging.

Now who backpeddling? lol

Your impication that I neglected the oppositions antics because I supported them was only highlighted by inferring that I was a 'lefty'. ;) If you don't open your mouth so often, it will not attract your feet. :!:

And that is the difference between the 'Conservative Party of Canada', and 'The Government'. Only the Prime Minister and his Cabinet are 'The Government', the rest of the Conservative Caucus are 'backbenchers'.

Serious question....can you read or do you generally pretend to be this stupid?

I didn't imply anything. I asked specific questions and make specific remarks.

I noted your exemption of information to which you agreed and now, you're arguing with yourself.

Ooooo! Name calling now!

Just interesting you only highlighted the one half when both sides are equally nasty.

Keep telling yourself that, if it gives you comfort. No one else is buying it.

Some of the best conversations I have are with myself. Mostly because I don't lie to him, call him names or try to pigeonhole him incorrectly.
