I do hope to get to Europe some day but it's going to be a while. :(

The boys aren't going anywhere, they are waiting for people to come visit.

True! Maybe have a beer with one of them!

Regina Regina:
Watching the CBC coverage of the D-Day anniversary.
The international ceremony was a complete bore and tainted with modern messages to Putin. Not sure I'm a fan of interpretive dance either.

BBC has been on it all afternoon, caught some of it, pretty good job for a change.

Just watching it now on tape and agree they have been doing a great job considering the delays. Definitely not a fan of the interpretive dance routine though, kinda of reminds me of the Monty Python Pearl Harbour skit.....

$1:
Twenty percent (casualties) is so much better than seventy percent, but the loss of even one of this gallant band is a loss to all decent humanity everywhere. And, besides, if the person killed in action is you or the one you love then the odds are one hundred percent in this case. They knew that, these great crusaders, but they went anyway. Too many of them are now with God.

We may never see their like again.

- Dwight David Eisenhower, on the dead and wounded of D-Day, June 6, 1944
