Yeah like her mailing out a taxpayer-funded flyer highlighting her work in Ottawa out to her constituents just before resigning as an MP? Or her going on a book signing tour when Parliament was sitting? Is that a real enough example of her disrespect for taxpayer's money?

And I agree they should not have a private life , nothing they do beyond serving the public should be allowed.

I recall her relationship with Dan Heap who was sort of her mentor.
Dan Heap I met in Kensington Market back in the day. It did not lead me into becoming an NDP supporter but the guy was cooler than cool. Lil off the wall in person.
She married and worked with Layton, who I do not like. You cannot deny her being her own person and saying she was nothing if it wasn't for Layton. I think she also helped Layton get where he got. Layton's rise surprises the hell out me .
and yeah i am keeping it real. I try to offset my own agendas with reality and sometime have to give in to reality, and put aside my personal political prejudices. Which as I grow older get lessened.
