I'm just happy I got through it all without being called an anti-semite or Jew-hater for the sin of not worshipping at the altar of all-things-Netanyahu. And, for the war-heads and other acolytes of Ares rabidly frothing at the mouth from the safety of their computer screens, here's one just for you on Remembrance Day:
Just love those laser-guided bombs, they're really great for righting wrongs...we zap and maim with the bravery of being out of range.....
I could also use the "and no one kills the children anymore" lyric from The Gunner's Dream to accompaniment of a few dozen photos of dead Palestinian children from Gaza who got in the way of the (alleged) always-justified wrath of "tiny, helpless Israel". Does anyone want to see that, on today of all days? Because it'd be damn easy to do and it'd blow the living fuck out of anyone's (except for the diehard armchair-and-keyboard toughies out there, because absolutely NOTHING ever seems to get through to them) remaining illusions that one side is permanently good and unstained and the other is irredeemably evil and deserves full and merciless destruction. One dead toddler, regardless of where it was exactly they made the mistake of getting in the way, looks pretty much the same as any other dead kid no matter what the hell the politics and religion and ideologies of the adults around them were.
