No, I haven't claimed that. You're putting words in my mouth and your foot in your own. I claimed that automobile companies price discriminate. They extract consumer surplus by selling their cars in what amounts to an auction on each sale.
My argument for price fixing has nothing to do with our discussion of price discrimination. My argument for price fixing comes from, among other places, price differentials between Canada and the USA.
Just out of curiosity, what do you do in the auto-industry? I have to admit, I've always kind of pictured you as a greasy car salesman.
