It's just the way it is though. If someone gets permanently stereotyped because of their previous comments or actions it becomes difficult for others to look past their name when they say something, even if it's unrelated or goes against the grain of what they're trying to say now. Curt's in the same sort of territory now that Kenmore was. Too many goofy or insulting comments on other subjects is usually rewarded by a life sentence in the internet doghouse.

Curt's ideas on authoritarianism in Canada, which more-or-less equate the ban on marijuana with fascism, and his insulting Canadian police officers by saying they were as bad as the Gestapo kind of earned him a permanent black mark from the CKA conservatives. He's also a regular with the "Stephen Harper is a tyrant" nonsense, which is obviously really annoying to a lot of the non-Liberal non-NDP folks here. What he said was dumb and he sort of deserved it. Hence the knee-jerk reaction that he now gets whenever he posts anything. He's got no one else to blame but himself.

Did I equate marijuana prohibition with fascism? Maybe. I think that line of attack stemmed from my equating G20 cops with gestapo for attacking protesters while they sung Oh Canada during a political demonstration though.

If you want to attack me for something I said, absolutely go for it. To attack me when I haven't said anything at all is idiotic. Is that what you are supporting these days?

Not really, and if you noticed I bowed out of confronting you on your marijuana threads a long time ago. It was stalemated and I saw no point in continuing with it and, except for an occasional pot-shot (heh) or two here and there, I've pretty much left you alone for quite a while now. But if you've become a polarizing figure around here then you've got to accept some of the responsibility yourself for how and why it's happened. It's not censorship but there are always consequences to saying certain things, especially some of the things you've said.

Pit-bull effect. You might not actually intend on biting someone but your appearance alone is enough to generate a negative reaction among some.

Well by all means continue then. Burn my avatar in effigy every time an article is posted that might possibly portray the CPC in a bad light if it makes you feel warm and fuzzy. If that's the forum you want, make it so. If the partisan hacks have to do that rather than discuss the issues, so be it. It's their bias, not mine thats showing.
