What do you mean by "You folks" ? And I am supposed to take that as somekind of threat and I am supposed to be scared of that !

And are you thumping your chest about your military might, that has done fuck all for you in recent history, other than make more enemies for you. Vietnam, Iraq and now Afghanistan.

Well, maybe I'm just justifiying my own existence here, but most of the Afghnas in Kabul seem to have a low level of antipathy for "our international friends" but an active dislike of teh Taliban. Of course, my presence in the room may temper their actual feelings on the issue.

My guess most Afghans think you're the cat's pjs as long as they're making money off you, think the Taliban are all that if they're the ones providing the bucks (as they do). I bet mostly they wish everybody would just leave them alone, have a govt that favors their particular tribe and is Islamic but not as strict as the Taliban. My guess, anyway.

Yep, too bad there's groups out there trying to ensure the people won't get a chance to choose for themselves.
