Yep. Student leaders have been quite mum about this. Wonder why?

The answer is lack of leadership. Same with the occupy protests and the G20. Think back to peaceful protests in the past. There was leadership. Protests were organized and the leaders were on the ground, directing the protest, directing their generals, controlling the situation. Do you think Martin Luther King would have allowed Alabama bus strikers to wear masks and carry backpacks containing god-knows-what? Of course not. If these recent protests were organized and competently led, we wouldn't be having these discussions.

That's because its all about the protest and nothing else. I asked a few people at the G20 what they were protesting against and they seemed to be taken aback that I dared to ask a question they had no answer for.

We have a couple of generations of 'protesters' with nothing to march against except for vague notions such as 'the bankers' and 'Harper'.

They are there because their chums are and they want to rage against the machine, even if they don't really know why they are angry.

There are no shortage of the misguided and uneducated. The police just better get used to being called to task by a negative media and the mobs without a cause.
