andyt andyt:
What kills me is that the same women pushing to get in want to have their own little girls clubs and not allow men. We have women only gyms. The Boy Scouts were accused of sexism until they allowed girls, the Girl Scouts are girl only, because "girls need a place of their own." I know that men are a lot more fun to hang around with than women, but come on.

This.

I fucking loathe feminists.

I can understand the "women-only"-gyms tho. That has not so much to do with feminism as well as with body-image. SELF-image. The women who go to a women's only gym are usually very self conscious and don't want to be looked at with a look of disgust by "in-shape" men, because they are out of shape.
Women with a normal self esteem couldn't care less...

Maybe if girls showered the way guys do in highschool, no private stalls, that'd get rid of some of that self-image stuff that women have.

That's implying men don't have the same issue.

Also, I've found most guys who see anyone who's out of shape putting the time in at the gym, they aren't looked at with disgust, but encouragement. They are glad someone is working to better themselves and make themselves healthy. It's probably more that those same out of shape women are judgmental.

I don't know if men have the same problem or not, I am not a man. I would not make an issue out of "men-only" gyms. If that is what they want, go for it, I don't care.
I have found that most men look different at women than at men. Just sayin'.

There is a reason why there are separate changing rooms and showers in pools, gyms etc. I don't mind separate sauna-hours either. If that is what people want, it should be offered. Imo, it would mean that if I owned a gym, I would offer 3 different options. Men only, women only, and mixed.

That's exactly how I feel about females golfing around me. There are many reasons to go golfing, but the absence of women is a major one (save the beer-cart girl, of course).

Not a golfer, but I can say, sometimes it's hjust nice not to have women around. there's a relaxation to not having to be at your best. Even us married guys feel a bit of pressure when other women are around and sometimes it's just a relief to cut loose and burp and fart and stop sucking ur belly in...

If you feel that you can't burp, fart and stop sucking ur belly in when women are around just get married and that'll take care of it for both of you. :D

First they wanted things like the vote, now they want to golf at Augusta, next they'll be thinking they should get the same pay for the same work. Where does it end.

Womens golf is as bad as womens basketball. You know, the most unwatched sport in the world.

Just some info for the few that think pressuring sponsors to withdraw would force Augusta's hand to allow women.

The one thing that makes the Masters such a great sporting event for TV is the limited commercial breaks.

I'm not going to look it up but the Super Bowl could be the only other sporting event that surpasses sponsor revenue / per 30 second spot.

personally, i think the exclusion of women is silly, but like others have pointed out, it's a private country club and there are no shortages of country clubs that allow both male and female members.

They have their own gyms, want their girl to be able to join boy scouts, but girl scouts are for girls only. Based on the obscene level of misandry that's taking place on tv and especially commericals right now. It's a private club tough shit. Suck it up toots.
