This guy is just a flake who has a twisted sense of what his religion means and went off the very deep end. I will demonize him but his religion as I know many very Muslims look at this with the same level of horror that everyone else does.

There is a difference. This fellow may well have been exactly what he said he was. It's been confirmed that he had traveled to Pakistan and Afghanistan and reportedly NATO forces arrested him in Afghanistan as a suspected jihadi and then had to send him back to France due to his French citizenship.

I will not say he was the real deal, but I'm also not going to dismiss him as a flake. It's just too soon to do either.

He's just another burnout that uses Al Qaeda to justify himself. He may even never had any contact with them. He wasn't particularly religious, liked to party. Came from a broken home and got into minor crimes. Guess this was his way of "redeeming" himself, make himself feel important. In the end he was another suicide by cop. These guys are so dangerous because they're so hard to spot beforehand. They're not part of any cell, there's no chatter or money transfers.
