First of all lame brain, It's "you're" which is a contraction of "you are", not "your". Had you read the occasional, real newspaper while growing up on that ranch, you might have learned how to spell, as well.

Ain't we out of line. Chill pill and too asprin neded.

I've decided that our Alberta Red Neck is probably 4'-10" with buck teeth and coke bottle glasses. "Rubber Neck Geek" got turned into "Red Neck" by the spell checker software.

I have had little reason over the years to be proud of the performance of our politicians in the House of Commons - today I have nothing but pride. From the sustained standing ovation given to Kevin Vickers to our PM crossing the floor to hug his main political opponents and the singing of our national anthem, I applaud them one and all.

Here, Here!

I totally agree. Not often do I think politicians are worth a pinch of coon shit, but today was a very pleasant surprise. Not only in the House of Commons, but when our PM laid a wreath at the cenotaph, So many MP's were there and they all say O Canada. Brought a tear to my eye.

QBC QBC:
Keep your fear mongering south of the border Bart.

The price of freedom should never be freedom itself. A fact that was forgotten in the US post 9/11. We don't wish to live in a paranoid, police state like you do. We will meet each threat as it comes and damn those who think that acts like this will force us to alter our lives and give up our rights and freedoms because of them. When you do, the terrorists have won.

Their is a difference between not being changed by terrorism and blindness to harm.

The problem isn't terrorism, it's Islam. Until people can stand up and admit that our forced (and not nearly universally loved) multiculturalism is wrong and our immigration policy is setting our nation up for harm it's just going to get worse.

We have already lost some of our freedom to knee jerk reactions to the outcomes of our nation's immigration policies.

Yep.

Yesterday, I saw lots of tweets and posts on Facebook comparing our media responses with those south of the border and it's apparent by that load of crap that the Sun's coverage was on the same level as CNN & Faux News.

Your talking about credibility, and your going by what you saw posted on Facebook ?

And the comfort they used to have of, "Well, that kind of thing doesn't happen here!" is now gone.

It not only can happen in Canada, it has happened in Canada.

And, like it or not, your countrymen are now taking an assessment of 'diversity' and asking themselves if the price of diversity is worth it.

Even the leftist New York Times is starting to ask some critical questions about their pet moslems:

http://www.nytimes.com/2014/10/24/world ... .html?_r=0

As is the 'lefty' CBC:

http://www.cbc.ca/news/world/ottawa-par ... -1.2809722

WTF are you talking about. I don't think that article has the word muslim in it at all, just ISIS. It certainly doesn't recommend getting the hate on for Muslims, nor does it talk about how awful Islam is. What it in fact recommends is not losing our heads, and the shame the country felt a few years after the War Measures Act, even tho it supported it at the time.

Holy crap dude, is your sarcasm detector on the fritz? We are Canadian. We knew attacks like this were a possibility. We don't freak out and blame an entire group of people just because one or two are in need of a rubber room! We aren't going to invade Algeria or nuke Mecca because of these attacks. Can you not see that is my point? That and this article seems to not fit the 'lefty' stereotype of sympathy for the perpetrator and blame for the victim.

Ottawa shooting: Canadian Muslims denounce attacks
Canadian Muslim groups have condemned the two deadly attacks this week, saying the incidents have no connection to Islam or its beliefs.

Michael Zehaf-Bibeau, described as a recent Muslim convert, shot and killed a guard at the National War Memorial in Ottawa on Wednesday before launching an attack in the Centre Block of the Parliament Buildings.

This came two days after another recent convert, Martin Couture-Rouleau, struck and killed a Canadian Forces member with a vehicle.

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/ottawa/ot ... -1.2810489

This has been refuted by Muslims themselves. (I think FD posted it) Ie if obviously does have something to do with the beliefs of a significant number of Muslims. I want to see Muslim groups step up and say more than "it has nothing to do with our beliefs." I want them to say they will confront Muslims who use Islam to justify their horrible acts. I want them to denounce violent jihad of any kind.

And yet, every radical or radical group we've identified so far has been brought to the attention of the police first by the Muslim community.
