No, jumping on Bryants car was the wrong choice.
And yeah, he's gonna run and leave his wife in the car. A convertible nontheless. Wow, you have pretty low standards for men eh?

It's still interesting that you keep referring to what "others" would do and yet keep dodging what YOU would have done. Because nobody honestly CAN say what they'd do in a similar situation. Without having experienced something similar, "others" have no basis for claiming how "others" would handle it.
What it really boils down to is, either Bryant ran a red light or stop sign, or the cyclist did. Considering the events of earlier that night, it's not a stretch to presume the "victim" was already "in a mood". I'm willing to bet Bryant wasn't even given the opportunity to try and diffuse the situation before it got out of hand.

Where did I say Bryant should have left the car and leave his wife behind?

It doesn't matter what I or anyone else would have done in a similar situation, because that's sheer hypothesis.

The fact is that because of Bryant, a father of 4 is now dead.

Link to either Bryant or the cyclist running a red light or stop sign please.

Media reports that the cyclist slammed his bag down on the hood of Bryant's car after Bryant hit the cyclist with his car (probably accidentally). Bryant then took off in his car. It's not a stretch to assume that an owner of a Saab would be royally pissed if someone slammed anything down on their car, so it's not a stretch to assume that Bryant was pissed himself at the time.

Two angry, out of control adults are a recipe for disaster.

I'm willing to bet the cyclist demanded that his bike be repaired if, in fact, Bryant had earlier hit it accidentally, and the response was one of pedal to the metal.

That's just my theory, obviously no facts have been established in a court of law yet.

Quit being obtuse! ( Much as I like the word obtuse, I think the word 'DINK' is more fitting, but lest I be accused of flaming or such...)

'Animal' stated that somebody either 'ran a red' (refers to traffic light) OR a stop sign, qualifying that statement with '...traffic lights you can't miss'! Then YOU demand that he provide evidence of a stop sign at said intersection! Now I'm gonna call you A DINK!

ummm I'm pretty sure I said traffic lights. Oh wait, yes I did. And Bay and Bloor is a pretty specific corner. Not sure what yer rambling about tho.
Fact, traffic lights cycle. Fact, one set is always red. No assuming there, someone ran a red light.

Here's what you said up above:

"What it really boils down to is, either Bryant ran a red light or stop sign, or the cyclist did."

Yeah, and your point is? I also see red light too. I also said "somebody ran something red".
But if you wanna play word games and semantics, I'm up for it.

When she starts neg repping others simply because they did the same to her, and it was rightfully deserved.....I'd throw -10 at her if I could.

No flaming here. Merely a suggestion.

An ignorant cyclist puts his own life at risk. But, an ignorant driver puts the lives of all cyclists at risk. With the safety of a 2 ton shield comes the responsibility to not use it as a weapon.

That's a pretty funny statement coming from a pro-hand gun proponent.

In Florida, CCW holders are 3 times less likely to commit a crime with a handgun than all floridians combined.

I'd like to hear what you think the comparison is, but why dont you take it to a hand gun related thread? I'll be watching.

Well, let's see, a handgun IS a weapon. Sooo CCW holders carry their guns for what, decoration?
I consider Bryant to have been in a self defense situation. Just like any gun carrying Floridian would have used their gun if they felt their health or life was being threatened.

Here's the difference. How many people jump on guns when they're drawn on them?
If you jump on a moving car and interfere with the driver, you can't cry about what may end up happening to you.
The car DIDN'T become a "weapon" until the supposed victim jumped on it.

They'd be equally likely to commit a crime with a gun as all other Floridians combined if there were no guns. You can do the math on that one.

What's funny is, the cyclist, by making the choice he did, created the weapon and used it against himself.

Here's a link to one of the surveillance videos (about half way through the video).
http://www.cbc.ca/clips/mov/roumeliotis ... 090902.mov

You can clearly see the cyclist ride past Bryant's car and stop in front of him. Then you can see Bryant's car surge forward a little bit and stop. After that, Bryant's car surges forward again and it looks like he hit the cyclist, who then went flying backward onto Bryant's car.

Does anyone else see that in this video?
