Mr_Canada Mr_Canada:
GUILTY.

He should have just stayed in the damn house.

And coward under the bed until the cops arrived 20 minutes later. Which they might find Mr. Horn dead and no suspects to arrest.

I'll take him as a neighbor any day over the likes of Jr.C

"Boom! You're dead!"

Yeah, sounds like someone I'd want running around my neighbourhood with a shotgun. I'd rather have my television stolen.

Psycho.

Agreed.

What am I missing here people. If you step foot on my property prepare to have your ass handed to you. What i find really funny is that if these two people had broke into the neighbours house and say killed a cat or were trying to steal something very sentimental we would all be praising this guy. I think he aboslutley did the right thing.

Oh and one more thing IT's TEXAS, FFS. If you are stupid enough to commit a crime in texas then you deserve to be shot

By killing someone in the neighbours yard. Okay.

As for your last statement... I guess in your opinion this guy deserves the death penalty, eh?

Lets assume that you are correct. Where do we draw the line? If I witness a hit and run am I justified in chasing the person down and shooting them if they don't stop? How about if I see someone snatch an old ladies purse? It might have had her entire life savings in it. If the criminal doesn't stop can I chase him down and shoot him?

Seeing as how none of those incidents you are proposing are on private property then Id say no. I agree it does make the line hard to see but I think the line should start at private property.

If someone comes in to your house and kills your grandma while your upstairs do you think you should be able to hunt them down and shoot them?

You can't kill someone to protect property. No you can't hunt someone down who's just killed your grandma. You may get away with it though.

If they came onto his property that was trespassing, they weren't breaking into his property. God help us if we start shooting trespassers.

For defending himself and protecting property? No I dont think so seeing as how he didnt break any law

Under Texas law, people may use deadly force to protect their own property or to stop arson, burglary, robbery, theft or criminal mischief at night.

Defending yourself from a person in your house that's already killed a member of your family is a mind-bogglingly far cry from shooting someone that's done nothing more than steal something from someone else's home.

Once again people resort to ridiculous scenarios to justify this idiot's actions.
