Sen. #LindseyGraham sounds off during #BrettKavanaugh's hearing, calling it an "unethical sham." "What you want to do is destroy this guy's life, hold this seat open and hope you win in 2020."

One thing I will say, Lindsey Graham can take his bleating about ethics and go fuck himself. He voted against the bill to fund health care for the 9/11 responders. He wouldn't know ethics or decency if a cruise missile rammed it up his ass. He also voted against some other fun things. Such as the following Denying Firearms and Explosives to Dangerous Terrorists Act of 2015 Prohibits the Transfer of Firearms to Suspected Terrorists Protect Women's Health From Corporate Interference Act of 2014 Bring Jobs Home Act (tax credits for having more employment in the u.s., denying credits for moving it out) USA FREEDOM Act of 2014 (anti-surveillance of public) Deficit-Neutral Reserve Fund for Legislation to Allow Americans to Earn Paid Sick Time
So Senator Graham, take your sanctimony and kindly blow it out your ass. You give zero fucks about ethics, or your country.

Too bad, so sad, Democrats. Ultimately, your delaying tactics didn't work. Senate panel says it will vote Friday on Kavanaugh nomination$1: The Senate Judiciary Committee said Thursday night that it plans to hold a vote Friday morning on Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court... https://nypost.com/2018/09/27/senate-pa ... omination/

Ford wanted the Democrats to keep her claim confidential. The Democrats leaked it out when they needed a delay. They did this against her wishes.
Ted Cruz shows us there is process in place to investigate allegations confidentially when required. The Democrats didn't want that. They wanted to drag Kavanaugh through the mud to get a delay in his confirmation.

No one cares what the Zodiac killer thinks. He’ll be out of the senate come November anyway.

xerxes xerxes: No one cares what the Zodiac killer thinks. He’ll be out of the senate come November anyway. Well, if this absolute freakshow of a shitcircus doesn't motivate Republicans to get out and vote, I guess nothing will.

Oh we are going to vote all right, you can bank on that. Heaven help any republican that does not vote to confirm Kavanaugh. Removing those turncoat republicans from office will be job #1 for us.

And that's why they'll keep winning, because somehow they've managed to talk white working and middle class men like you into perpetually supporting them even though you've gained absolutely nothing by giving them your loyalty and, on an empiracal level, it's easily provable that they've done as much harm to people in your demographic as they've done to any of the women and minorities they openly despise. I'd ask you why but this isn't the thread for you to go shouting at me againg for pointing something like this out. All I can say, as a former conservative myself who finally learned not to trust ANY of these suit-and-tie rich-boy motherfuckers after getting robbed blind and let down by them, is that it's damn sad that the con-game they're playing still keeps working so well for them among folks like yourself.

Fair enough. I think that I owe you a civil answer. I admit that I have stayed up to late (fighting insomnia), drinking way to much, working myself up for no good reason, taking my own shortcomings out on you in many of my posts in the past. At those late hours, you were the only one on here posting anything worthy of a response. I admit that I unfairly targeted you for the lions share of my wrath. For that, I apologize. Lately I have reconnected with an old girlfriend from the past. I always loved her and was bitter at life for many years when we broke up. That bitterness came out in my posts. I am white and English, and she is Mexican. I am Baptist, she is Catholic. Everyone was trying to break us up from the word go. Her family, my family, our coworkers, our friends, etc., was always stirring up shit. We were always fighting about somebody else's shit. We broke up 9 years ago and I have pretty much been a miserable dick since then. You see I was not man enough to stand up to my family, my friends, my coworkers, and fight for what I really wanted. I was miserable for almost 10 years trying to keep other people happy (never make that mistake). Two months ago I ran into her again. We started going out again. A couple of weeks ago we went to a beach resort for a week. I have never been happier. I have pretty much been avoiding politics lately. My time on earth is limited, and I have wasted too many years on things that I cannot control. I am not going to change anything, one man in all this madness. The only reason that I got involved in this Kavanaugh thread is because that I think that he is getting a raw deal. People love to talk. Usually when someone is a sleazeball, they have a long track record. Numerous women were complaining about Bill Clinton when he was Governor. We knew he was a sleaze long before he was the President. People have been talking/joking about what a perv Harvey Weinstein was for years before he got in trouble. This Kavanaugh guy has not ever even had a speeding ticket. It sounds like a bag job/smear job to me. No one has ever had a bad thing to say about him until we are having a vote for him for the Supreme Court. It reeks of total bullshit. Almost all of the people who went under because of the "me too" movement had a long track record of being accused of improprieties before. Not all, but most. I think that this is political bullshit. People are trying to ruin a mans life just because they disagree with his politics. That is wrong. Let the American voters decide on the politics when they vote. Do I agree with the man on everything? No I do not. I am tired of hearing about Roe vs. Wade. I myself am against abortion. If I got a woman pregnant, I would want her to have the kid. I love kids. My best moments on this planet was being a father to a small kid that looked up to me. That said, I have no desire to overturn Roe vs. Wade. I know what would happen. Abortions would go back to the underground butchers where many girls/women died. Many girls that do survive would never be able to have children again. I do not want that. Women would be forced to have kids that they do not care about. I do not want that either. The man is not perfect in his views, but I do think that he is a good and decent man. This woman has had 30 something years to come out with this story. She chooses the time that we are having a vote for confirmation to come forward? Sorry but I call major bullshit.

CNN's legal analyst Paul Callahan weighed in on the shitshow in the Senate: https://www.cnn.com/2018/09/27/opinions ... index.html$1: Many Americans will ultimately come away from Thursday's hearing feeling disgusted not over the character of Judge Brett Kavanaugh but that of those Democratic senators who attempted, on the weakest of evidence, to portray the judge as an attempted rapist. Their strongest documentary evidence appeared to be inscriptions about beer drinking in his high school yearbook.
America's founding fathers wisely designated courts of law as the place where claims of criminal conduct such as sexual assault are resolved. They knew that such serious claims can only be thoroughly investigated and finally resolved by a judge or jury at a fair trial. Hundreds of years of experience has demonstrated that the truthfulness of witnesses can best be tested in the crucible of cross-examination. Christine Blasey Ford faced no such test before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday. She made a very good initial impression but failed to fill in the troubling gaps in her story.
Though friends accompanied her to the party and probably drove her home, not a single person corroborates her claims against Kavanaugh, first articulated more than 20 years after the alleged incident.
In contrast, Sen. Chuck Grassley noted in his opening statement that committee staff interviewed and obtained "felony penalty" statements from three witnesses -- Mark Judge's lawyer, from Patrick J. Smyth, and Leland Ingham Keyser -- that Ford had named as present in 1982 at the infamous party, but who said they knew nothing of a sexual attack on Ford.
Ford first detailed these claims in a couples counseling session in 2012. She failed to explain how she could forget the location and time of such a life-changing traumatic event she says happened in her home community. Effective cross-examination of a critical witness cannot be conducted in five-minute segments interrupted by senators giving speeches praising the honesty and courage of the witness. This was not a serious examination of the truthfulness of Ford or Kavanaugh but a staged spectacle.
Had this been a court proceeding, the charges against Kavanaugh would likely have been dismissed or a verdict of "not guilty" rendered. On the evidence adduced at the Kavanaugh hearings, the verdict of the Senate should be that his nomination is confirmed.

BRAH BRAH: _________________ Democrats have no moral compass. Quite amazing. Graham's public display of total ignorance and assholiness and you want to accuse Democrats of having no moral compass! This goes to show Kavanagh has NO respect for ANY woman, no respect for Democrats, and the scum still want to nominate someone who's alienated 75% of the population. His supporters have no shame, no morals, no respect for anyone but to stuff one of their bum buddies into office.
