Do you seriously believe Boko Haram carries out it's acts of terror due to the Nigerian Governments corruption because, if that's that was indeed the case then please explain why the 17 of the most corrupt countries in the world don't have the same issues since there should be a correlation between corruption and armed Islamic revolution.

2013
CPI Score

1. Somalia 8
North Korea 8
Afghanistan 8
4. Sudan 11
5. South Sudan 14
6. Libya 15
7. Iraq 16
8. Uzbekistan 17
Turkmenistan 17
Syria 17
11. Yemen 18
12. Haiti 19
Guinea Bissau 19
Equatorial Guinea 19
15. Chad 19
16. Venezuela 19
17. Eritrea 20
Cambodia 20

I seriously question North Korea being on that list.

Corruption may not be a sole cause, but it certainly makes things easier.

Agreed and if corruption is the dishonest or illegal behaviour of a government or person in power how can it exist when the leadership holds infallible power. Totalitarian yes corrupt no. They would have no need of corruption because they can do exactly what they want at will including the feeding family members to the dogs. 8O

And yes you're right about corruption. It does makes it easier, especially when recruiting volunteers for your cause although, I seriously doubt that a radical Islamist group would have much need of pointing out the corruption to their followers to make them fight. But, if Goodluck Jonathan's gov't is as corrupt as people claim why haven't any other groups ala Syria, risen up to remove him from office or is he just corrupt and despotic towards the Muslims in Nigeria?

I'd hazard a guess that a non-corrupt government isn't really an option for Nigeria or any nations in the vicinity. They don't get the whole non-corrupt thing there. They don't even use the word "corrupt" in the same way that we do. It's just bizness. You scratch my back, I'll scratch yours. Nudge Nudge Wink Wink. Baksheesh they called it in Afghanistan.

On the upside of the corruption no one in the West ever needs to worry about an African super-power threatening to dominate the world.

#BringBackOurGirls is trendy but that's all it is a trend which will lose steam soon enough and the celebrities showing their outrage with this hash-tag will move on to another tragic event while nothing has really changed because the reality is all those girls will never be saved.

Terrorists beware. Moochelle will issue a Tweet.

These # Bring back our girls pictures are about as useful as the FB "if I get 1 million likes......"

PS Obama's boss looks about as sincere as a politician in this

Tweets and Faebook posts are not going to bring these girls back because actions speak louder than words.

This one's going viral...

Image

I got it from this Counter-Jihad blog.

http://vladtepesblog.com/

He says the following.

$1:
This photo is alleged to be young girls being led to meet their new owners. The article says ‘husbands’ but typically a woman doesn’t have to be shackled to meet a husband. That would be more typical of a slave than a wife.

$1:
Nigeria vigilantes kill and detain scores of Islamic militants
Villagers in an area of Nigeria where Boko Haram operates have killed and detained scores of the extremist Islamic militants who were suspected of planning a fresh attack, the residents and a security official said.

Locals in Nigeria's northern states have been forming vigilante groups in various areas to resist the militant group which holds more than 270 schoolgirls captive.

In Kalabalge, a village about 250 kilometres from the Borno state capital of Maiduguri, residents said they were taking matters into their own hands because the Nigerian military is not doing enough to stem Boko Haram attacks.
