The clearest endorsement of capital punishment for murder in the OT was Genesis 9:6. That all being said, adultery was also a capital offense, yet Jesus defended a woman convicted of it and about to be executed by saying, 'So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.' (John 8:7). Religion is a funny thing. People can twist it to have it say the opposite of what was being said. The entire deification of Christ, and Trititarianism went completely against what Christ himself taught.
it was also strictly against Jewish law and it led to executions in Roman Judea (not the Trititarianism part. That came much later).
