Batsy Batsy:
$1:
You flog that term a lot here, hiding your pleasure at seeing Bostonians dieting and bleeding.

Transparent.

I say again: it's alright you saying that, but then your country wasn't the victim of attacks just like the one which has hit Boston but for almost every other year for 40 years, due mainly to Bostonians contributing money to the IRA, has it?

You can post your silly posts and Monty Python videos, but try looking at it from the point of view of the British.

The Bostonians didn't give two figs about terrorism and children being blown to bits by bombs in litter bins (as has happened in Boston) when they funded the IRA to do exactly that in Britain.

Yet when Boston gets hit by an IRA-like attack there are people in North America who, bizzarrely, complain when the British show no sympathy.

Lets see.

1. Boston as a whole was not funding the IRA, it was select groups, the same way select groups fund current Muslim based terrorism and how select groups once funded Nazi interests.
2. Many of the people in this Marathon are not from Boston you ignorant fuckhole.
3. If you honestly think the average person in Boston didn't care about children being blown up in Britain, you're dumber than we give you credit for.
4. The British are showing sympathy, just not fucksticks like you.
5. You're a moron.

8.) Arian Nation

Nope. The early Church basically wiped them out after the Council of Constantinople in 381.

Batsy Batsy:
There'll be lots of people in Britain looking with glee at a city which funded the IRA suffering from an IRA-like attack.

Now Bostonians know what the people of Britain had to put up with for many years - rather than an isolated attack like Boston - by a terror organisation which they funded.

Another irony is that Boston police are probably going to turn to British police - who probably have more experiencing than any other police force in the world in dealing with terrorist attacks like the one which has hit Boston - for help.

Wow. You really are a grade one tossbag.

His logic, US logic...pretty much every human beings logic.

Why is everybody so afraid to admit the truth? Yes, me and mine are more important, to me, then you and yours. What was so hard about that? Why is honesty, especially emotional honesty, so damn hard for people to admit?

For the record, there is many a dead child in Afghanistan that suffered the wrath of US bombs for no reason other then the misfortune of being born in Afghanistan.

Many dead Brits due to US inaction.

I could go on, but really, the list for every individual country is so long that it would be pointless.

Does it suck? You bet.

So, Batsy, you will not receive any neg reps from me. I may not like your view, but I understand it.

Batsy Batsy:
Bostonians weren't complaining about terrorism when they were funding it to happen on foreign soil, but they don't like it when it happens in their own city.

My maternal grandmother was one of them. She routinely sent checks to the Sinn Féin and she also knowingly supported the IRA. In the 1970's and into the 1980's she also used to sponsor Catholic kids coming over to Cape Cod for the summer in order to get away from the Troubles.

What motivated my grandmother to support all of this?

On her father's side the family left Ireland during the Potato Famine when the British expropriated their farm which was involved in growing rye for bread. According to the family lore the rye was supposed to be sold to a British firm and when the famine hit the family started selling the rye to their neighbors who needed it for food. Seems the British preferred for the Irish to starve.

Then, on her mother's side she lost eight members of the family during the 1911-1912 British road building campaign in County Sligo when they were forced to work as slave labor. I visited the remainder of the family in 1983 and heard the same story from them. I also heard how the money my grandmother sent to the family got them through a lot of hard times both before and after the Free State.

All that said, while I have nothing but warm feelings for the British in the present I really don't give a damn about any of them who died as a result of the British occupation of Ireland.

You reap what you sow.

As to what has happened in Boston? It remains to be seen who did this and until such time as the terrorists are identified I'll reserve my comments and judgment.

Basically, shit has happened in the past. I suspect one needs to look long and hard to find some group of people, or a country that does not have black stains in their past. No matter who it was who did this thing in Boston, or what their motive was, it does not make it right.

Exactly. And the past is the past and I don't hold any grudges against any Brits for what happened back then. Likewise, I also hold no vicarious remorse or regrets for what was done against them to secure the liberties of the Irish.

That was a time for war and now is a time for peace.

And Batsy is going down a piss poor road by digging this sh*t up again.

Or are American lives more precious than foreign ones?

It may be fitting that the attacks occurred on Patriot's Day; removing the shackles of British rule is looking really good in hindsight.

Now, if you'd kindly go fuck yourself, we'd all appreciate it.

People who sent money to the IRA have blood on their hands same as the people who did this. No different than sending money to Hamas.
