ManifestDestiny ManifestDestiny:
refer to above post, $3600 per year per person for top qaulity health care, thats what I pay it worth every penny!!!!!

if you cant afford that you are not middle classor you just dont find the need for insurance which should be my choice also!!!

Uh huh. So what's your deductible? What's your co-pay? $3,600 is what you pay just to have the insurance, however that's not all you pay is it?

I'm quite sure he doesn't wait like us tho.
That's something Quebec wants to integrate here: a moderating fee for ER. Last time I went (1 month ago), the doctor said that about 75% of the people there were only there because they were anxious about the swine flu. He said one woman went there because a "mexican looking guy" coughed near her...

yeah I pay taxes, hence the provincial coverage comment, Alberta no longer charges monthly premiums, and when they did it was $44/month, not $3600 and I still didn't get charged for a ER visit up front.

that is a problem I agree with our system, the ER rooms are choked with people who think they have the H1N1 or SARS or some other equally lethal illness. but the wait is in proportion to your injury, I've waited for hours to see a doctor when I had a twisted ankle, and I've gone right in when I had my embolism, thats why they have the triage nurses. I wish everyone had a family doctor and they could bug him (or her) when they had the sniffles, I think a fee might be against the Canada Health Act, but I too wish they could find some way to force the hypocondriacts to see a GP and not force the ER to be packed.

yeah I know, its included in my taxes, I've mentioned that like 3 times now, I think. but I still don't pay $3600 for premiums and then $50 to visit the ER.

and in case you are having trouble with English here it is in Spanish/y en caso de que usted esté teniendo apuro con inglés aquí está en español

sé sí, su incluido en mis impuestos, I' VE mencionó que como 3 veces ahora, pienso. pero todavía I don' paga $3600 de t para los premios y entonces $50 para visitar el ER.

because my provincial taxes aren't even that high (i think I paid $1,722 for my alberta income tax and I paid 2,214 federally). mind you I got hurt in July of 2008 and I have not returned to work as yet. you are paying State and Federal Tax on top of your premiums,

I had a low wage job last year and i'm quite sure I paid more than 3600$ for healthcare with my taxes. Here (Quebec) healthcare is about half the budget.
