Roe v Wade sure opened up a pandora's box. That we will take a long time to close. It will close but it's gonna be a long hard fight. Anyway back to Dr Kevorkian of the north, he and many others on this list are icons of Socialism, ie, Hargrove, Morgantaller, Mansbridge. What have they done for Canada other than create division in our country. I agree with Riden Rain, this is nothing more than offering recognition to left wing freaks to try to make them the norm in the country. I am not buying that crap and will never think the traps of communism that the Liberals and NDP present to us are normal. They are tripe of an era that was presented to us and the be all end all for utopia. It has never worked and will never work no matter how you dress it up.

It is about the CHOICE we have. How tough is that to gasp? I never aborted. But I sure as hell am glad I have the choice. Just as I have the choice to put 37 tattoos and piercings on my body, or the choice to tell you my opinion.

I don't like the numbers I read. I find them ridiculously high, and I would like to see what is considered abortion in these numbers. I'd like to see a little more (well, a lot more) rules and regulations. But the start is here, now we have to finish it and make abortion acceptable as a last resort, which is what it should be.

Abortion should only be used Brenda when the life of the Mother is in danger or the Rape case. Not as an emergency birth control. Tattoos are one thing the crushing of a skull of a baby is another. I don't feel you can compare the two. I get your point about having the choice however so I don't believe you are comparing the two. Last resort for lazy or last resort for what Brenda? What is the case you feel it nessecary other than the ones for rape and mothers health. As far as I am concerned just because someone forgot to put on a condom isn't an excuse, although irresposible people that forget something as simple as a condom don't need to be in the breeding pool anyway.
I too feel that we should have a test to take before being able to vote. Idiots don't need to vote and they certainly don't need to be breeding. Now there is a whole new can of worms I have opened up.

Not as an emergency birth control.

Ehmm, isn't that what I said?

We have a couple of abortion topics, it is not my intention to start one again here.
That can of worms you opened, I have already answered all of them in the abortion threads.

morgentaller, as are all abortion providers and those who use their services, is a murderer plain and simple. Anyone can dress it up as a matter of choice, murder is always a bad choice, especially of an innocent unborn human being. Nice to know our country is honoring this criminal - not

The man is a defender of the rights of women and deserves it.

If you want someone recognized for their role in "defending the rights of women" then choose someone who didn't benefit financially from abortion.

Why? It's not like he has some broken down warehouse on the edge of town where he kidnaps women and forces them to have abortions. If you don't like abortion, then don't have one. But for those who need one for whatever reason, Morgentaler's case has made it possible for women to have an abortion in a safe environment where they can receive counselling about their decision. I don't know why this shouldn't be applauded.

I still find it ironic that the majority of people who are so dead set against abortion are MALE.

I'm not against women being allowed to do with their body what they will. I'm against ripping a fetus out of the womb and killing it. I accept that they are legal and I think it's probably for the best, but I don't think we should be honouring someone for it.

The morning after pill is good for that one.

Abortion is more than that. Stop being ignorant.
