Public_Domain Public_Domain: Yeah, I disbelieve there's any method or argument a leftwing protest could have that would impress you. So fuck impressing YOU. where are they now? Ignored, unheard, pissed off, and back in the streets. I can only hope that in the last five years they've learned that asking nicely for a less brutal living doesn't get fuck all in the 21st century. I hope every bitter dehumanizing slaveowner and pundit helped push them into more and more radical politics. You are right, fuck impressing me or anyone else for that matter. A protest is not about impressing people. Its about getting people to AGREE with your cause and get them on board. When the powers that be realize that they are greatly outnumbered, and that they are fighting a losing battle, they change their course of action. They stop denying people thier rights.. They stop profiling. They end stop and frisk. They end the draft. They end unpopular wars. They fire CEO'S who have angered the populace with stupid ideas like new coke, etc., etc. You kids have lost sight of what protest is all about. It takes years of hard work, people getting arrested, people getting assaulted, etc. Victories do not come overnight. The main thing is that you have to be on the right side of the cause. The majority of the people have to be on your side. There has to be a real injustice. If these anti-Trump protesters could prove that their votes had not been counted, that they had been thrown in the dumpster, than they would have a cause. The fact is they were too fucking lazy to vote. They were too lazy to get involved in the political process. Now they want to destroy property, and disrupt traffic. The majority of the people are NOT on their side. Normal people are going to get tired of their daily lives being disrupted by these freaks. Either the police or the people themselves are going to start showing up armed with pool cues looking to put some dick in the dirt. Normally I am against police brutality. In this instance I would shut off my camera, and enjoy the show.

Public_Domain Public_Domain: 47% did not vote. 26% voted for Trump, 26% voted for Clinton. Almost twice as many people refused to participate in the freakshow as decided to sell their soul for their favourite neoliberal oligarch. Hard to make claims of "majority" with that reality.
Just because Trump won the election does not mean his supporters are the majority of Americans. They are 1/4th. Plenty of room to work with.
As it is though, I wish the protesters were outside the DNC too, burning their shit down for their part in fucking over the working class. Sadly, I can admit rhese protests would have been much weaker if Clinton won, but it didn't go that way, and I'm happy to take what I can get.
Hell, if we assume all Trump supporters exercised their mandatory civic duty to vote, and then assume the Clinton supporters who did vote are generally supportive of protesting (most only support peaceful protest but fuck those white liberal idiots), then combined with all these folks who are part of the protest and refused to vote, it seems there's more who support this concept than not, no? Unless... some Trump supporters did not vote?
There are no normal people. Everything is political. Some can dodge it, but pretending the vote is an accurate indicator of activism vs. apathy is unwise. The fact of the matter is:Trump DID win the election. Who did or did not vote for him, or who did not vote at all is irrelevant. We have rules set up for elections, just like we have rules set up for sporting events. When someone follows the rules and they win, than its game over. They WON!!! All the bitching and whining in the world will not change that. I'm pissed that my Patriots lost to the Seahawks the other night. You don't see me going around destroying other peoples property, and disrupting traffic just because my team lost. They lost. I put on my big boy pants and deal with it, the same way I did when President Obama won two elections. He was not my candidate, but he won fair and square. There was nothing to protest about. If the Patriots want to win their next game they need to buckle down and work harder. Me holding signs bitching about the other team is not going to help them at all, any more than me holding signs bitching about President Obama was going to help the GOP win an election. Whats more pathetic than someone protesting losing a fair fight? No one likes a sore loser. Protest injustice. Protest getting screwed over unjustly. Protest the big guy throwing out the rule book to step on the little man. You want to protest those things, than count me in. I can get on board for that. Why aren't these protesters at the DNC? Bernie was screwed over by the powers that be. Where were all these freaks when an honest man was getting the shaft by the DNC? Why weren't they shutting down that convention if they were so concerned with injustice? Mr. Trump won his convention fair and square. The Republican party was not pulling strings and cutting back room deals to move Mr. Trump to the head of the pack. On the contrary, the Republican party did not want him to win. The hierarchy of the party was speaking out against him, and he still won. He won the nomination and he won the election, fair and square. Time to stop whining when there is no injustice. Suck it up and deal with the fact that your side lost. The Cleveland Indians lost the world series. I don't see a bunch of punks destroying property, and shutting down highways in Cleveland.

herbie herbie: Good God where do you guys find the time to scour the Internet for this dreck? Bout time you asked. Seriously, how did someone who talks about running a server farm remain so ignorant on how the interwebz work? Here let me help you. Most of us know about this place called "YouTube", but did you know you could register there? Well...stay with me then, buttercup. After you "register", YouTube will observe what sort of videos you watch over the years, and it will recommend others for you by category. For example I have a category called videos that will piss off Snowflakes, Social Justice Warriors, and other regressive leftist no-nothings. In fact, here you go, this one's relevant to the thread topic and it's just for you.
