In this case it's America paying for your national defense so you folks don't have to raise taxes.

But don't worry, I'm sure this is a completely altruistic act on the part of the USA and the Arctic maritime border on the oilfields won't at all be a consideration.

Then write to your MP and tell them you don't want US help in the Arctic. Simple as that.

And you're also being dense and not seeing that I'm on your side in this. Because if you don't think the US will extract a price from Canada over this you're sadly mistaken.

Obama and the Democrats hate Canada. Look at the XL pipeline project getting killed - who does that hurt? Canada.

Meanwhile is anyone stopping the proposed pipeline from Alaska that crosses Canada? Nope.
