Most people use debit cards anyway. We could do very well with just 5's, 10's and 20's. Let the banks use the bigger stuff if they need it. 20's should have come out first anyway.

Because they aren't worth very much anymore. I've seen little kids with $50s at the corner store.
Or should we do away with cash entirely so every single goddam transaction can be recorded and the banks can skim their pound of flesh? Make sure they get the HST when you pay the babysitter and fill out forms to declare the money you gave your kid was his allowance and not a taxable transaction?
