Isn't this how the French Revolution started... and for pretty much the same reasons?

I can imagine Jamie Dimon, David Koch, John Paulson, Howard Milstein and Rupert Murdoch scream from their mansions, "Let them eat cake!"
No French royalty ever actually said that. It was inaccurately attributed to them to anger the masses. So, in the sense of a dishonest blame game, yeah, this is exactly how the French Revolution started. Blaming Wall Street specifically rather than as one of the dozen or so groups at fault (listed in the link) is intellectually dishonest.

I know, pauvre Marie had nothing to do with this.

I always thought that artificially stimulating the economy (looking at that list pretty much confirms it for me) has the nasty side-effect of coming back at one point in the future and biting you in the ass. All those mesures did was to push back the inevitable... and will probably make it worse... kinda like loading up the credit cards to get you through a tough stretch.

If they see themselves as the irresistable force, is Castle Doctrine going to be the immovable object?

I am really beginning to think we have passed electoral answers.

Frankly, if the left starts a revolution I'd be okay with that. I could stand the target practice.

I suspect this to be one of those pre-edit posts employers take interest in that you warned us about a couple of months back.

If Quebec sought to gain independence by force, I'm sure you'd have a similar reaction. You must remember that the USA has already fought to put down one stupid rebellion.

Yeah... that's an appropriate comparison.
