Like I said sanctimonious athiest, I can say exactly the same thing for your atheism and secularism aswell.

The door swings both ways.

I don't see how what he said is sanctimonious?

I am interested in what examples you give where lack of religious belief would hinder someone, at least in western society.

And you religious people do, over and over and over and over again.
Sanctimonious huh... Because I don't want to be bothered with your "holier than thou" bullshit?
That makes me sanctimonious? So I should respect your religion, but you don't have to respect my lack of?

These people get 3 weeks off per year to pray. All they have to do, is clock out and in. No body else gets those 3 weeks off. PAID. And they still bitch? I am just sayin.

Problem to whom? To you? Then don't read it.
I didn't know that having an opinion that is not the same as yours makes me sanctimonious, nor was I aware of the fact that having that opinion that you don't support means that I am bitching.

So you're upset with Brenda's position because you feel she complains too much?

I say this because you really haven't given any evidence to back up your claims that she is being a "sanctimonious athiest" or that being an atheist limits your employ-ability.

I guess bitching at bitching people makes me a sanctimonious atheist :D
(I was gonna say "sanctimonious bitch", but I figured that might be a little too bitchy )

Nothing of the sort, just tired of what I would label as "militant atheists" ( and of late I've been dealing with a few of them on someother forums aswell ) having a little bit of arrogance in the air about them. I'm an atheist so somehow that makes me superior to all you dumb ass believing folk out there. Since religious freedom is PC so I'll let you go on about your bussiness but in reality your just pityfull idiots

Religious people can't make a squeek because it goes against secularism but I can wave my atheist dick all over the place.

As for the issue at hand, I've already said I agreed infact I think these cabbies set a bad example of Muslims and then protesting about it just makes it even worse. But lashing out crap like yeah fuck off because I'm an atheist and if your not then your a schmuck too response and talk about respect when there isn't kind of irks me a bit.

Maybe I'm reading too much into it, who knows ? Guy you might be an atheist, I dunno know because you don't make sure every other post you post, you make sure to mention it. And before you say it, yes its in my sig, but thats suppose to be a joke, while on th eother hand.....

Yes, you do. Because I never said those people set a bad example of Muslims. I said they had to stick to the rules, like THE OTHER MUSLIMS AT HERTZ DID WITHOUT BITCHING.

Get it? These few who are suspended did not stick to the rules, and now yell "RESPECT MY RELIGION. To those, yes, I say "screw you". Look at your fellow Muslims, and do as they do. I have NO problem with them.

The ones who are protesting are the sanctimonious Muslims.

Let me make it very clear, DD. I have no problem with any religion, or non-religion, what so ever. But don't use it as an excuse when you fuck up. It is that simple.

I'll just toss my vote behind the "they could do it if they clocked out" crowd. It's not that big a hardship to do. Hertz should be congratulated for finding a compromise to accommodate them.
