This website was hacked some years ago by a Turkish group and I doubt like hell that Trevor was using a simple password as he's an astute fellow.
Bottom line here is that it is not the fault of the site owner if someone breaks in anymore than it's your fault if a criminal breaks into your house.
Although I mostly agree, I also think that if you live in a high risk neighborhood, throw up a bit more than a deadbolt.
'Zactly. IIRC, Trevor mentioned he didn't keep up with patching the code for CKA, and that was how they got in. In my mind, it doesn't matter if it's Sony, the FBI or the Conservative Party of Canada. Lock* it, or lose it! Or never put it on the web to begin with.
* By "Lock", I include patching to ensure exploits are removed. I guess I'm just anally retentive about it, because that's part of what I did for a living; keep a high visibility network secure from the myriad organizations trying to breach it.
