I miss the gas war days. When I was living in Winnipeg, there was a gas war that lasted until one station went so far as to charge only a half cent per litre.
That's when the gov't stepped in and ruined the fun.
I was working in Williams Lake in 82?
A long gas war concluded with one station filling up small cars free and giving you a dollar until their tank ran out.
Next morning every station in town has the same price.
Had a couple propane vehicles when I lived in Langley and worked in Burnaby around 1987. In the winter propane dropped to 9c a litre. Cost $6 to fill the Bronco.
