Maybe, but it's the most realistic as communism tends to degenerate into either tyranny or oligarchy anyway.

The US Congress just hauled in some oil executives to harass them about prices. What a farce.

FieryVulpine FieryVulpine:
Mr_Canada Mr_Canada:
Nationalize it.

Ah, so you mean another oligarchy should horde it for themselves while the masses have ration the precious few scraps they get from their "benefactors." Lovely.

You see Norway as a communists nation, do you, with oligarchs controlling the oil industry and poor Norwegians rations their precious scraps of oil? Another right winger who can only see in black and white.

Norway does very very well owning a lot of their oil industry in partnership with private companies. And they do very well in ensuring that they don't suffer from "Dutch disease" as the profits flow in. We could learn a lot from them.

PublicAnimalNo9 PublicAnimalNo9:
I miss the gas war days. When I was living in Winnipeg, there was a gas war that lasted until one station went so far as to charge only a half cent per litre.
That's when the gov't stepped in and ruined the fun.

I was working in Williams Lake in 82?
A long gas war concluded with one station filling up small cars free and giving you a dollar until their tank ran out.
Next morning every station in town has the same price.

Had a couple propane vehicles when I lived in Langley and worked in Burnaby around 1987. In the winter propane dropped to 9c a litre. Cost $6 to fill the Bronco.

And we have a barely literate left-winger who is unaware of what nationalization implies: that the government takes COMPLETE control of a certain industry.

Now excuse me while I "lawl" at your Norwegian obsession, and I thought my viking fancy was bad.
