The smelliest place I've lived was in Shelburne, NS but that was probably because we lived in the last house before the fishing wharf.

The live animinal stalls on Nathan Road in HK were pretty bad. Throw in the pre-monsson heat and humidity and you have a top-class whiffy city.

Singapore likes to call itself the cleanest city in the world, but it would be more aptly named the cleanest city in Asia. It's no cleaner than Vancouver or Toronto.

Certain parts of those Canadian cities are even cleaner, but to say its level of cleanliness is comparable to the average Canadian city, I'd agree with that. And we maintain a level of cleanliness without the draconian laws, fines and doorless shitters(always carry an umbrella when visiting Singapore and be prepared for Asian squatters)

Oh yeah. And bring your own asswipe, unless you only plan on visiting the five star establishments.

I didn't find Bangkok to be that dirty or smelly, Hong Kong was clean, but its a westernized asian city.
