I'm sure we are making efforts right now to either buy him out of there or JTF2 him out of there.

And the Dippers haven't even said boo. So much for Thanos' idea. We didn't try to get out that woman that was captured in Pakistan, we shouldn't try with this guy either.

Have any of you considered the possibility that he is who the TB say he is. I myself, highly doubt it but..........

If the JTF2 does go in and encourages the Taliban to release him you will discover that there are times when having a military/intelligence that can go in make a point fairly clear comes in handy at times.

I certainly agree that he is not. But SF aren't the only guys running around out there for whatever reasons. Canada does have some other types that they employ. Again I say that I truely dont believe he is, but I have seen stranger things.

The folks in the special Olympics aren't stupid, they are people who have handicaps who have the guts to get as close to the Olympic Spirit as possible. Most are very intelligent. They all have mental strength and fortitude that can embarrass the rest of us.

This moron however falls into a different class. The though that somebody could well get killed rescuing this mentally challenged individual is nauseating.

Hear hear. Stephen Hawking would qualify for the Special Olympics, but I wouldn't consider him stupid.

Not yet the Dippers haven't. They're too busy right now making sure that all the rookies show up wearing clean underwear for the first day of class. After that it's open season once again and there ain't no way that someone in the Loyal Opposition, either Dipper or Lib, isn't going to try to pin every single little bit of responsibility for this jackass' safety onto the government. It's how them there domestic opposition politics work around here, chief.

OK Thanos, and as Brock's post points out, the Reformacons have their own insanity around this. IF they were in opposition they would be howling that we institute the draft to have enough troops to go rescue this guy. Those troops could later be used to herd people to mandatory bible classes and storm all abortion clinics.

Two can play at your game.

If this hasn't been brought up and turned into an Opposition firestorm (with the previous antics of the Liberals during the Brenda Martin embarassment kept especially in mind) by the end of the first week of the new Parliamentary Question Period then I'll take back (some) of what I said. Until then I'm right (as usual). So a big pththththbbbpthtbp to you, junior. :P

What an idiot, let him figure out how to get out on his own. Anyway I'm off to a lovely resort in the Congo, then visiting friends in Ivory Coast. I hear North Korea is beautiful this time of year. Then I'm off for a short tour of the tribal areas of Pakistan then popping in for tea with Amidinijad. For those of you who can't go don't worry I'll take lots of pictures. What could possibly go wrong?

Yes, A-Stan isn't on my list places that I want to visit and absorb the atmosphere.

Well....I will say that some of it can be nice at times. The open markets are fun and you can get virtually anything you want there. I needed a certain piece of kit once and was directed to go visit the local smith who ginned it up for me faster than you can get a good suit in Hong Kong.

Once you get those folks away from the tribalism and the islam they're pretty nice.

This tourist will either be passd around the warlords like a prize or he'll be killed for sport. Chances are, someone will buy him and then give him to the Canadians in order to curry some sort of a favor.

Tha's jus' hou thay raul over there.

Just wondering. Wouldn't he need a visa to get in? Who the hell issued it? And if he did not need one, WHY THE HELL NOT???
