I disagree...not everyone is going to sit here and just excuse what they say. You will have the typical partisans who will excuse them, just like you have the typical partisans on the right who ignore anything wrong there, but not everyone on the left will try to shift the blame onto everyone else. That's an easy cop out like you say and I think some people are tired of taking that route.
