Lights Out Colonel Kadaffi.

Those army folks will have to live among the rest of Libyans once the dictator is gone. They are not really sowing the seeds of their own future taking head shots at and dropping bombs on civilians.

Defections are happening at an astonishing rate right now and rumour is that the army may soon turn.

How much longer for the House of Saud?

One of the problems is that most of those in control in the Libyan military are from Kadaffy Duck's tribe. He is also using mercenaries according to reports.

Yeah, it would seem he's learned Egypt's lesson: if you want to repress your people use people from who aren't squeamish about shooting their countrymen and women.

I read this post from Al-Jazeera's blog today:
$1:
Al Jazeera Arabic reports that adverts appear in Guinea and Nigeria offering would-be mercenaries up to US $2000 dollars per day

Khadafi always makes me think about that book: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Fifth_ ... 28novel%29

$1:
The Fifth Horseman is a novel[1] (hard cover, paperback, and book on audio cassette) written by Larry Collins and Dominique Lapierre. In a suspenseful novel of terrorist threat, Libyan leader Qaddafi holds New York City hostage with the threat of setting off a hidden nuclear bomb. The book had such a shocking effect that the French President cancelled the sale of nuclear reactors to Libya, even though it was meant for peaceful purposes. Paramount Pictures, which was planning to make a film based on the book, dropped the idea in the fear that some fanatics would try to emulate the scenario in real life. However the authors indicate that the events could eventually happen.[2]

Dutch newspapers say Embassies are not supporting Khadaffi anymore in China, UK, Malta, Indonesia, India, Arabic Liga (league?), Embassy personnel walked out of their jobs, resigning, and went with the demonstrating crowd in Stockholm.
Army officers called military personnel to help the people and not attack them, a top-officer has refused to follow orders and is placed under house arrest.

Khadaffi, it's time...
