I dont think it would change much, other family members to take over.
And Saudi is so tightly run, it would take a miracle to have a revolution there,
even if they wanted one.

Likewise. Yes, the army is a respectable insitution, but there are a lot of reports now that the army has been behind a lot of the detentions as of late in Egypt.

And let's be realisitc, this is a military coup and time will tell whether the military likes being in charge or not.

Since the military put in Mubarak, Sadat, and Nasser, since 1952.

I think the Egyptian military likes power.

Depends. If the man died of natural causes then the succession will go however they want to do it (the eldest son is not a shoo-in like in the UK). But if it was an assassination then all bets are off.

We could be on the verge of a Middle Eastern revolution. The dominoes have been falling quickly. Makes me wonder if anythig like this could possibly happen in Saudi Arabia, and/or Iran.

It's get more interesting by the day.

Let's all hear it for Egypt who went from an autocratic despot to a Military Dictatorship in a couple of weeks.

I keep hearing the term Egypt is free but until Field Marshall Tantawi actually holds free and democratic elections I'll reserve any accolades for the Egyptian revolutionaries who may have just replaced one boot with another.
