I'm so disinterested in the entertainment industry, I can't bring myself to watch a show where they all pat themselves on the back for a job well bungled. If Ricky Gervais wasn't funny, why'd they let him do it twice?

Couldn't fucking agree more. It's bad enough with programs like ET and ET Canada but when regular news programs bring us celebrity "news" that ain't really news, wtf are they doing wasting air time? Like for example, John Travolta loading up his personal commercial airliner with goods for New Orleans was news. Lindsay Lohan acting like her usual twat self isn't news.

Oh yeah, and Russell Brand is friggin' brill.

Can't stand Hollywood, all these "stars" do is act, there are penty of real people in the world more deserving of our praise and idoltry. So in closing I don't really care.

Steve Carell really did look pissed off.

I haven't watched an award show in 20+ years, don't even recall the last one. This one looked hilarious from the various clips I have seen though. A few moments where the crowd wasn't sure how to react, but mostly it looked like they enjoyed it.
