Oh, I bet the "tough" chef... .... crapped his pants when the dude poured gas all over him....
I like what he was trying to do, but come on, the TV "tough Guy" thought the cameras were going to save his ass and the gangsters would reform? What a completely stupid idea brought about by an ego maniac. Maybe the gangster should have struck a match and done us all a favor.

I worked in a restaurant once where the conversations were polite and quiet. Everything ran efficiently and we met every rush without a problem. That was the signature of one of the best managers I've ever worked with.
He said that the guys who yelled and screamed were generally at fault for the problems they yelled about. Norman planned ahead, trained people well, and ran a calm and effective shop.
He proved that yelling and screaming do not belong in a well run place.
By the way, I can't believe Ramsey hasn't has his clock cleaned by now. With all that yelling and abuse I know for sure I'd put the SOB in traction.
Gotta go with Bart on this one.

I gotta say I'd rather see Ramsay get what's coming to him by one of the many chef's and cooks he's abused over the years as opposed to this.
I saw an interview with him once as to why he acts the way he acts (though he obviously acts up on Hell's Kitchen)

Yeah, I don't think yelling and swearing would get far with me. My first job was in a hotel/restaurant/bar. I was a high school drop-out and worked my way up from swabbing kitchens to bartender. My boss, the General Manager, never yelled. He would smile and say his motto "110%!." One time he told me I had to clean the wqomen's cans. "Walter," I said, "Sorry it's just one of those things in life; I prmoised myself I'd never clean public toilets."
"No problem," he said. Half an hour later I found him cleaning the women's cans in his suit--the general manager of the joint. Lesson learned for me.

What was the lesson, that you could push him around? I respect that guy, because he's willing to do anything he tells you to do. But he should still have shown you the door. With a smile on his face, of course.

It's amazing how many people here think dousing him in gas is an appropriate reaction based on his past words. I don't like the guy either but he was there to expose the illegal shark fin industry. As well as bashing him why not the criminals as well?

Well, I don't think I said dousing him in gas was appropriate, but who the hell does he think he is - in reality just a loud mouthed celebrtity chef - to go to Costa Rica to tackle gangsters? Yeah, he went to expose an illegal trade, but he's no cop/investigator - it's a publicity stunt that went wrong.
I'd call Pamela Anderson a fucking idiot if she went to Kenya to expose rhino poaching for PETA and got roughed up as well.
Celebrities doing retarded publicity stunts that backfire get no sympathy, because I don't really buy into their selfless facade.
Then again, maybe the C beside my avatar is for Cynical.

For iconic Canadian cooking show hosts, how can you beat Wok with Yan & the Urban Peasant?

Stephen Yan. He didn't do much cooking with goat, so I doubt you'd be interested.
