Mr_Canada Mr_Canada:
Perhaps it's just the crowd I'm with but many think the shorter life span is a blessing

Emphysema is no blessing, they obviously haven't watched a loved one suffer from it.

Unsound Unsound:
The best part of being an ex-smoker is I don't have to have an opinion on these things anymore.

Champix breaks the connections between smokes and your nicotine receptors.
The you get an absolutely clear picture of just how fucking much of a habit it is.
Pissed around for months down to under a pack a day (from three) and finally said WTF am I doing, don't even get a kick from it. Sheer disgusting habit.
I have 2 unopened packs staring me in the face since New Years and I still WANT to have one, but I'm not gonna.

I haven't smoked tobacco for at least 30 years, and was never a heavy smoker (more into cigars than cigs). And still, there are times where I want a smoke. I just have to smell one tho to turn me right off it. There is just some connection it makes in your brain that's very hard to deal with. Nicotine has a positive reward factor that's right up there with crack.

Warnings don't work.

Never have, never will.

We should make them dance for their smokes. You know, do a little jig. They will--they're addicts. And we should make it legal to spit on them too. I think that would deter kids from smoking.

Mr_Canada Mr_Canada:
I've heard there's been studies (I don't have them) that have shown that these
warnings have a negative effect of making a person want to smoke more.

Ya gotta collect them all!
