Brenda Brenda: Gunnair Gunnair: Goober_McGee Goober_McGee: I can't be the only one who knows about Stalker, can I? Quite possibly. Care to explain? Google it. Game... You say that like it's a bad thing Besides it's not just a game, but also an Andrei Tarkovsvi movie. Both of which are based on a book called "Roadside Picnic." Either way I think it's interesting news nonetheless.

What an amazing collection of photos and information. What an inredible realistic view of what that disaster meant and still means... beyond most people's comprehension... Thanks for sharing that blog ASL. It provided something that the "news" never could... I'd be interested to know what PostFactum has to say about this notion of turning Chernobyl into a tourist attraction considering he actually lives there and obviously has a more direct understanding than the rest of us. What is the story there about this idea? How do people feel about it?

I'm here=))Why when I sleep you spend the best time here?)) So guys, I'm going to broke few stereotypes about modern Chornobyl
1)the radiation on the territory is lower than in the center of the Kyiv and most big cities in the planet.
2) The radiation that can kill is only in the sarcophagus
3) There is a human settlement on the territory (Few old grannies)
4) Tourist bussiness was there illegally for the recent 10 years, now they just decided to make it legal. 5) Water, etc in the settlements is safety there. 6) The animals and fishes are so big not because of radiation, it's because noone is catching it. 7) The enter to the zone is only acrooss guardian's who check everyone who is entering and was denied (bribes make magic, now they are going to do it legal) P.S. I don't reccomend you to touch metal things there, and bring some pieces to Canada (especially metals from there). So if you do this, you'll come home as healthy as you were. It's like extreme sport, do everything correct and you'll have a good vocations.

ShepherdsDog ShepherdsDog: I hear the local fried chicken franchise offers extra legs and wings....all from the same bird. I saw one man who was collecting everything like that: cows with two heads, pigs, dogs etc.
