Well I have never enjoyed TO. I have friends and family there and its always been a nightmare to visit. I recently stayed in a hotel and discovered they were infested with bedbugs. I left my luggage in the trunk. And I don't feel safe even going to the local store. Esp in Scarborough.

Just leave the luggage in the back of the truck and drive through Saskatchewan (a happy place) in December. That will deal with the bugs. The sunshine will deal with your blues.

If you are are calling me a country bumpkin. Wrong! I am from Montréal and used to people, crowds and yes foreigners. I am also used to crime. I have travelled extensively and been to most capital cities. Toronto just sucks in my opinion.

I grudgingly have to agree with you kenmore. I've heard Montreal and Toronto referred to as brothers. One is a womanizing alcoholic and the other is an accountant
Montreal is by far a city with more life and atmosphere than Toronto. But people in neither city can drive for shit

Of course Toronto is the most miserable city in Canada. That's because it's the biggest city in Canada. I'd speculate that the title of most miserable city in ANY country is its largest. What makes a city miserable is population and population density. Toronto is the 5th largest metropolitain area in North America. The list goes: Mexico City, New York, LA, Chicago, Toronto, Miami, Philadelphia, Dallas, Boston, Houston. What's the least misearble city on that list of 10?
