No doubt. I work with about six Ukrainian ladies (excuse me, but ) and all of them have no regrets about moving to the USA. I've heard of towns where there's still no electricity, phone service is iffy, the roads are dirt or gravel and then poor, clean water is a fantasy, and honest government is also a fantasy...and all of those things are still better than they were under the Russians.

Life is cruel, one american or australian or somewhere else from first world country doesn't want to work and sits in prison being absoulutely antisocial, over the world there are thousands who will be happy to work and be part of society, but it's not possible to exchange because he's the citizen of fist world country in compare with someone who is just "nobody" for country which would be happy to make an exchange. Just my opinion=)

102 counts of selling kidneys and all they get is a 1 million$ fine? That IS capitalism at it's worst. This IS a privately run, FOR PROFIT hospital. And much like the tens of thousands of willful laws broken in the US by corporations who figured out the menial fine for poisoning a lake for 2 generations is worth an increase in profit of 2 billion dollars, these guys figured out selling kidneys is profitable cause even when you're caught, you get a tiny fine and no criminal time.


And you can't compare Russian style communism to real communism. But yeah, neither works right. What you want is democratic socialism.

Talk to Europe.. i.e. "the other 80% of the developed western world".
It works for them, and frankly Canada is already semi-socialist.

I know the USA loves to chant and cheer and praise all the "virtues" of ultra capitalism, but it really is like a useful virus. Use it to make money, but keep it under control and be careful. Otherwise you get a situation where say:

a) Your level of poverty is the same is many 3rd world nations.
b) The rich can steal money and bankrupt the nation and as their penalty they get a trillion dollar bailout and pat on the back.
c) You can let children die because their parents filled out an insurance form wrong and it might cost a couple bucks.
d) Your education system is behind Slovenia.

I could go on, but you get the picture. There is a reason a REPUBLICAN president tore apart all the huge multinational semi-monopolies in the 1930's and made the top tax rate 90%. That's socialism.

Hmmmmm, a communist country, China, selling prisoners organs, or a democratic country's hospital selling organs. Not much difference between the two in the bottom feeding scum sucking asshole category of humanity now is there?

The only difference is that the Communist government hasn't been made to stop, since no one would dare to suggest that such esteemed humanitarians as the Communist Party would do anything that was this vile, revolting, disgusting and morally repugnant.

But hey, in communism all you have to say is that it's for the benefit the people and it makes every revolting and morally corrupt act alright.

I'm no fan of communism, but every single thing you just said about the perils of it can be applied to the 8 years under bush's autocratic rule. And the topper, is even after he is out of power no one pursues charges because "it would be hard on the country". boo hoo. Every crime that goes unpunished is one that is more likely to occur tomorrow.
