Khadr 'attacked' the US Forces. He has been tried by a martial court.

Was it the best way to do it ? No. Was he tortured ? Maybe. Did the Americans lost it in the Khadr case ? Totally. And Canada too.

But,

He is still a terrorist who is proud to have killed an American soldier. He was a kind of 'spiritual leader' in Gitmo and never changed his mind or had remorses. He passed 8 years in a prison that was 'made' to strengthen his extremist ideals.

Want it or not, Khadr is now a really dangerous person. Even if he was "normal" at 15 yo (he was not), now he is walking bomb. USA will ship him to US, the Supreme Court will removed the sentence and maybe give me some money. Then he will walk free.

We have treaty agreements with various countries where Canada can apply to have persons convicted in other countries transferred to Canada.

The US has already said that after serving 12 months in US custody, Khadr would be eligible for transfer to a Canadian jail. It's not an option for death row prisoners.

He hasen't been convicted yet has he ? It would appear that is one of the criteria needed to fit the Transfer of Offenders Treaties or TOOT thats cited in your link.

Also if you have a cite for when the yanks stated you can have him back in one year, I'd like to see that as well.
