More pointless efforts to stop a trade that grows bigger in proportion to the enforcement that is meant to stop it.
Prohibition didn't work for alcohol and it's not working for narcotics.
That's becaue under the current system drug users get varying forms of public assistance and then their health care is subsidized and that's in the USA and Canada both. I've oft wondered why I bother working when I can go to Social Security and declare myself a heroin addict and start collecting $2,205 per month tax free.

Nah, there's more to it than that mate.
I've been dealing with the social effects of the prohibition of narcotics for 20 years.
Let the losers who want to sniff/inject etc., buy it at a government controlled store, tax it so revenue goes to health-care and control it with provincial laws like we do with alcohol.
It would be way cheaper than buying from some shit-head dealer and the profits could go to rehab etc.
The losers are getting the stuff anyway.
