I could care less what happens in the privacy of ones bedroom (within legal limits). It does not effect my life, so who cares?

65 years ago these were the same people doing pogroms on their own Jews or handing them over to the Nazis to dispose of, so this thing today is no great surprise. Eastern Europe has a lot of vile and dangerous aspects to it's character that you really don't find in our part of the world. And since it's okay to expect the Serbs to openly tolerate homosexuality do you also expect the muslims to allow a gay pride parade in Mecca or Medina? Hmmm?

I do expect the Muslims to tolerate gays. In Canada, if they don't, there will be consequences. For instance the Muslim doctor who didn't want to treat a lesbian couple - take away her medical license. In their own countries, I don't support bombing them for their intolerance any more than I support bombing the Serbs for not being tolerant, so they can make whatever rules they want.

Maybe that was Bush's real mission in Iraq - he was making the world safe for queer culture. Bush was really an ultra liberal plant, working on behalf of gay people and fucking up America so bad he allowed Obama to come in. Why didn't I figure that out before!

I don't. Within their own countries if they wish to be intolerant that's up to them. The only thing I'd ask is that they let the gays leave their countries instead of routinely executing them.

I doubt that will happen as Canada seems to have limitless tolerance for the dark sides of both Muslim and Hindu cultures.
