No, but the wife's milk didn't come in for a few days after birth, so formula was a necessary evil until then. After that, it was 100% breast milk.

So is anything artificial. Doesn't necessarily mean it's all bad. If you have the choice between NOT feeding your child or use Formula, I know what my choice is.
I breastfed one and bottle fed the other child. They are both healthy. Actually, the breastfed one has been in hospital for her ears, tonsils and fevers more than the bottle fed one. And I am not saying that is because of, I'm just saying that Formula is not a bad thing.

I'm not saying it's bad, but doctors and nurses recommend breast feeding if possible, and even formula makers admit that their product is not as healthy as breast milk, so we only used it when we had to.

Of course. If you can, I'm all for breastfeeding. I'm just saying, sometimes it is just not possible, but that doesn't make the mother a bad person, like the "THE ONLY GOOD MILK IS BREASTMILK"-peeps seem to think.
