Limiting this to the NRA, the reasoning for the NRA being involved in Canadian gun policies is legitimized due to the repeated and ongoing calls for gun controls in the USA by Canadian politicians who would rather ask Americans to ban guns than to ask Canadian Mohawks to stop smuggling them. :!:

I've had enough of US organizations presuming they have some say in our laws.

Get back on your side of the border and mind your business.

Sorry. You folks let that genie out of the bottle when your ambassador and government endorsed Al Gore in the 2000 election and when your Liberals joined with British Labour to openly and directly attempt to influence the 2004 US elections.

If your government will act to influence our elections, we will act to return the favor.

 ...That's when you think this all started? We did it in 2000? Your government and the like have been messing with our country for several decades before the 2000 US election.

True. And the reverse is also true. Maybe we just need to get on with it and become one country and then we can mess with everyone's politics and it'll be just fine. [B-o]

btw, you guys dont actually think that other organizations dont cross borders to support each other? unions? doctors associations? governments? munipal program directors? colleges and universities?

in my opinion, the OP is a lame attempt to twist the obvious into something that will cause a knee jerk reaction from any canadian that is insecure about americans

Kinda like when Canada decrimmed weed and Bush had a shit hemmorhage demanding, not asking that the decision be reversed or Canada would face economic retaliation and the border would be closed?
Kinda like that Bart? So Bush would rather DEMAND we change our laws(with accompanying threats) instead of asking Americans to stop smuggling weed from here.
How many ppl have been murdered BY someone using a bag of weed to carry out the assault again?

Boy, ppl really love throwing around the ol' prejudism card around these days. It's almost become a global sport.
That's quite a leap to make that because someone doesn't want a particular American organization stirring shit up in Canada they are insecure about Americans

"Hey John, what do you think about the NRA being in Canada?"

"I think they should just stay in the US. They are an American lobby group, they don't need to be in Canada!"

"You don't like Americans do you John."
