Define "traditional values"?
Honour thy parents, obey thy elder, pray to God?

when I was in school, the girls used to wear nylon wind breakers and gym shorts, the teachers got upset because the wind breakers were long enough to make it look like the girl wasn't wearing anything underneath

Well I'm sorry but when I went to school it was bullshit about pantyhose and then girls wearing pants. After a few fucking days with no kids in class theschools one by one smartened up and stuck to teaching instead of "ruling". And the whole grad class could spell, read, tell time on a fucking analog clock, open a bank account without Mommy's help, make change, write a resume, tell you who the Prime Minister was, mail letters and use a fucking phone book.
Which very few of today's grad class can do.
Fuck off with dress code shit and teach.
Tradition is the last stronghold of the ignorant.

In my school no one thought there was anything sinister, weird or perverse about a seventeen year old girl trying to look twelve.

There was.

Dress codes are bullshit in school. Unless yer wearing something vulgar or outright hateful, who the hell cares? That was the dress code at my high school. That and no Daisy Dukes for the girls and no super cut-offs for the guys where your nuts kinda hung out there.

I agree that I would not have liked dressed codes.

However, I dont have a problem with strict dress codes in a school where the student or the parents have chosen the school over other schools that dont have dress codes.

As far as school getting back to educating and nothing else, well, I've always asserted that part of my education came from sitting around a campfire with my dad, hanging out in the autoshops at school, basketball, motorcyles, cadets, etc.

My point is: education is not just an academic thing, if students and parents want to be in a school that teaches ettiquette, dress standards, and a code of ethics, then I would say that is a good thing.

No, that would be normal and wholesome.
