Wow, that's pretty cool. Can't wait to find out who they may have belonged to.

Cro-magnon man, early paleolithic time period. It just took a long time to find it.

ummm you may want to recheck that Derby. I have grave doubts Cro-Magnon man was responsible for the Iron Age.

I would be very surprised if these were iron tools - I don't think the iron age made it to North America until the evil white mar arrived.

Natives for the most part remained mesolithic societies, with the exception of the cultures of meso America(Olmec, Toltec, Maya and Aztec and some southern tribes in the US that learned new technologies due to their proximity to the advanced peoples) and South America(Inca), which developed agriculture and domesticated animals.

Some would argue that the Iroquois and Huron peoples could be included in this as they led a semi-sedentary life and grew corn.

Actually, widespread use of copper.

Which was used almost exclusively for ornamentation(like gold and silver), rather than weapons and tools, no? It would harldly qualify them for membership in societies that we refer to as Copper Age societies.

True, mostly ceremonial and used for social hierarchy identification. Yeah, you're right in the sense that some utilitarian use was evident, but significantly for weapons or tools? Not on par with Europe, Asia, etc, that's for sure.
