Funny how this is all happening now. I haven't heard any news of fires in B.C or anything. Hell, I even see my breath in the air at night now in the middle of August and they get forest fires....Canada is a wonderful place.

Scope or Listerine should help.

You would know best I suppose. Experience knows all.

Yup. Haven't seen my breath since I started practising good oral hygiene. Embrace and become one with the mintiness.

Not as bad as a few years ago where we were sweeping ash off the deck and off the car before heading off to work, but the smoke is definitely beginning to catch the throat. Ended up just heading into a lab to work since it has good airflow and kept the smoke out of the air -- was getting tired of smelling it.

Can't wait for about a week from now, where I sneak off to Ontario for a week. Here's to hoping the heat holds! The air might be heavier but I'm longing for the good ol' south Ontario smog and humidity in comparison to Alberta's dry smoke! Not a nice combination.

Good luck with that.

$1:
But winds are expected to shift to the northwest over the weekend, keeping the smoke from reaching southern Ontario.

Oh man, it's not often that I'm more interested in seeing some good winds than I am in seeing some solid heat and a good amount of sunshine!

I was happier when I was ignorant. :D

A few years ago we had the same problem in Québec.
Very dry summer, forest fires north brought the smoke all the way to Montreal.
Not as bad though as what you guys are experiencing. :(

Came back from Terrace and got held up for roadwork in Endako. Gagging on smoke, wondered how the road crew could even work!
There's a huge camp of motorhomes and Army tents in Fraser Lake for the firefighters and the radio was broadcasting nonstop evacuation warnings for the areas South of Vanderhoof.
My dashboard is covered with ash....
